Can/do lizards carry the chicken pox virus?

My friends baby just got the chicken pox. And someone posted that his lizard is a carrier of this.
I know about Salmonella. Please provide link info/proof

    The virus itself is a human alpha-herpesvirus (just like Herpes Simplex Viruses).

    But you are right, Salmonella (and Campylobacter) and a variety of other bacteria can live on lizards and so lizards should always be treated carefully and proper handwashing afterwards.
