Chicken Pox or Flea Bites?

by chicken pox pictures

I’m a 22 year old female and I’ve had chicken pox when I was younger. My older dog recently came in with fleas and was treated. However, I developed cold like symptoms a couple days ago and have an extremely sore throat which causes difficulty breathing even through my nose, coughing spells, the sniffles, and very dry eyes. Yesterday I got a couple itchy red bumps, and suddenly today I have them popping up all over my upper body. But I’m not quite sure if they’re just fleas or if it could be adult chicken pox. Also my significant other has no spots to speak of.
Edit to add: I should also mention that I work closely with a pregnant woman in her first trimester, so I’m rather concerned as to what I should do.

shingels aka adult chicken poxs are very dangerous. however since you have already had chicken poxs it probably isnt them. the rash is most likely a viral rash, from whatever sickness you are having. try taking some benedryl. if that helps than it is just an allergic reaction. do you have a fever? you didnt mention that. i would aviod the pregnant woman, if you can. make an appt with your dr in the morning if the rash continues to break out. also chicken poxs are contagious way before you ever break out.
also it could be fleas because the fleas have no where to go since the dogs werre treated, however google shingles or chicken poxs and look up the symptoms.

It doesn’t sound like flea bites unless something was transmitted to you from a flea. I would go into the doctor immediately. I’ve also heard that in flea related situations, oftentimes the vet you work with can be the most helpful in a diagnosis. Use those resources as soon as possible. I hope this helps!
