sometimes we need some educations regarding vaccinations so that we would not be easily believe about myth that we read ,hearsay about preventive measures to protect our body against harmful microorganisms.

When i was a kid i had the chicken box vaccine and i was fine. don’t believe the myths about vaccines they are all verry untrue.

Your problem is lack of information – that means facts, not opinions.
Fact one: once you get Chicken Pox, you have the virus forever – the immune system represses it, but it hides in nerve cells to cause “shingles” decades later.

Fact two: Shingles, the “old people’s” chicken pox that comes decades after the initial infection, is so painful that it is the leading cause of suicide in that age group. It directly affects the nerves … and if it is forced back into remission again, it recurs again and again.

Fact three: Vaccination now prevents chicken pox, and a booster later, maybe decades later, will defend against shingles.

Fact four: the risk of side effects from vaccinations to you is very low – look it up and compare that to the risk of being killed in a traffic accident for instance. Then compare the benefits to that risk.

Now, are you ready to do your homework? If so, I suggest better, more informed sources than this venue usually is.

hiker is talking crap. once you have had the chicken pox, you will NEVER get it again. it can not cause shingles and really people shouldnt rely on needles.
A virus can not stay in your body hiker!
a virus is like a flu, not a disease!
    get your facts straight.

Hiker and the rest are right, Emily is way wrong.

Chicken pox is caused by the varicella zoster virus (VZV) it initially causes chicken pox and then travels up the nerves to remain latent. Years later, if it is reactivated, it makes its way to the skin surface via the nerve pathways and causes shingles.

Herpes Simplex (I and II) both operate in the same way. So, yes, viruses can become latenly infected and hide in the nerves.

Do NOT believe the anti-vaccine hype. These people are criminals. VZV can be a fatal infection and should be taken very seriously. While many children end up totally fine, some die.

I highly reccomend the vaccine. It will prevent suffering, time missed from work, and in the end, you can knock out chickenpox and shingles as possible future illnesses.
