How can I make my head feel better?
The shots were on 7/1/09 the rash on my
neck and back appeared ten days later along
with the itchy scalp. I have had my head
looked at to make sure there are no signs of
lice. There are a few bumps on my scalp and
it does not hurt when I itch it.

  1. Faith O says:

you mgiht have lice. had it 3 times in my life.

  2. The mom says:

The itchy scalp is not likely to be a side effect of your vaccinations. The Varicella vaccine against chicken pox can cause a mild rash in rare cases, but since you just got the vaccinations, it would be unlikely to have happened yet. The most common side effect is pain, redness and slight swelling at the injection sites, and some folks will run a mildly elevated temperature or feel kind of ratty for a day. If you scalp itches, scratch it. Then take a look to see if perhaps you have gotten something in your hair or on your head. You can take Tylenol for aches and pains. For your head, perhaps you just need to shampoo the hair and give your head a good scrub.
